Aquamarine Frankincense: Journal Entry #4

My, oh my!  It’s been a while since I have posted an update on my aquamarine frankincense adventures!  I have more to add on the color change phenomenon and also a very thrilling experience with aquamarine frankincense and spiritual aromatherapy that I am excited to share!

Color Changing Phenomenon

In my last journal entry I mentioned noticing a slight color difference in my two bottles of aqua frank.  Since then many other aqua frank users have been experiencing it too, watching in horror as their bottles change from the vibrant turquoise that we love to paler shades of turquoise and greens to even yellow!  Some bottles, regardless of hue, are developing flakes of copper as well, likely from the copper still that was used to distill them.  My second bottle, the larger 15 ml size, went through both of these changes (see below).

Several ideas circulated regarding the cause of these color changes and possible solutions including leaving the essential oil exposed to light and oxygen.  I know what you are thinking, two things we have been previously taught NOT to do!  So of course I had to experiment.  And the good news is…it can be reversed!  Below you will see a time lapse showing what happened after I left the bottle sitting out on my desk for 48 hours (little to no change) and then after opening the bottle and leaving the cap off for just 15 minutes (big change).  My 15 ml was thankfully restored to that beautiful turquoise hue of the smaller 5 ml bottle that I adore and has stayed that way ever since.

Note: the copper flakes still remain in the bottle.  I do not have a problem with this at the moment, but if you do they can easily be removed by running the oil through a coffee filter to catch the particles.  Although keep in mind that some of the oil will be absorbed and lost in the filter as well.

Aqua Frank & Spiritual Aromatherapy

I ordered a new diffuser necklace, because well I have a slight problem and apparently the 10 I already own were not enough!  Plus the seller mentioned she thought of me when she designed it, so of course I had to have it!  (See where I purchase them here). When I received said necklace it had beautiful purple and green stones along the chain.  I was immediately inspired to blend aquamarine frankincense with lavender and a hint of lime to use on the necklace’s tassel.  The blend turned out quite refreshing.  I wore it all day on a Sunday, a very hectic day for me typically, and felt very grounded and uplifted all at the same time.

Here comes the interesting part…Monday morning I was scheduled for an aura reading with my Joy Guide, Shannon.  She sent me an email bright and early with her reading and an artistic rendering of my aura.  I was shocked at what I saw!  Myself dancing in hues of purple and green!  (See below)  My mind wandered back to the necklace and essential oils I had worn the day before.  Coincidence?  I think not!  These oils have such powerful energies that I am only beginning to comprehend.
