Are you confused about all the essential oils hype?  Guess what, I was too!

The realm of aromatherapy and essential oils is certainly an exciting one, but figuring out where to start can be so tricky.

"Where do I purchase them from?"
"Which ones do I need/want?"
"How do I use them once I have them?"

Those were just a few of the questions I had starting out.

As with most things nowadays any answer you need is just a mouse click away.  The only problem with this is, and something that I noticed myself very quickly, there is an abundance of conflicting information regarding essential oils and all those little questions we have.  While there is a lot of great information out there by those passionate in the field, there is also some untrue and some downright unsafe misinformation being pushed by big names in the industry.

So how do we sort it all out?

One of the greatest lessons I learned from being an online student is how to identify reliable, trustworthy, and credible resources and most importantly how tell them apart from all the others.

This leads me to my goal with the Lavender Giraffe (read more)…

I know how frustrating it can be trying to learn about essential oils, wanting to use them safely, and finding a dozen completely different ways to do so.  I have been there and now I want to help you sort through all the hype.  I hope to share with you the many tips and tricks I have learned from some of the leading and most respected experts in the field such as Andrea Butje, Robert Tisserand, and Lea Harris (more about them in future posts).
