Andrea Butje, founder of Aromahead Institute, is one of my utmost favorite professionals in the field. I follow her on social media, subscribe to all of her email lists, attend her free webinars, and have had several communications with her as well…a very sweet soul! So naturally the Aromahead blog would make this list. She has a unique way of tying aromatherapy use into everyday occurrences and thus you will likely find just the thing you are looking for here.
I love the recipes and files available from the supplier Aromatics International. The information is very thorough and the recipes are written following safe usage guidelines. Their search feature makes it very easy to find just what remedy or oil you are looking for quickly!
This one is actually a tool but certainly deserve a mention. Remembering dilution and dosage guidelines or calculating percentages and drops can be confusing. Marvy Mom’s dilution calculator takes all the guess work 9and time) out of it!
Just getting into learning about aromatherapy? The National Association for Holistic Aromatherapists’ is a great place to start! Explore their resources to learn what aromatherapy and essential oils are, research in the area, and industry or career opportunities. You can also search their directory for a registered aromatherapist in your area!
Aromaweb is a great place to find profiles on individual essential oils, carrier oils, and hydrosols. They also provide an adequate selection of aromatherapy articles and quite a few recipes too. A neat feature is their aromatherapy “tip of the day” which can be found right on their homepage!
This page is run Certified Clinical Aromatherapist, by Lea Harris. It serves as a culmination of her studies and knowledge regarding the safe usage of essential oils for all types of individuals and animals too. She has recently taken the time to create essential oil labels including all the “need to know” safety information for many common oils; they can be purchased through a link on her website.
Also run by Lea Harris, this website is a great starting point for many essential oil newbies. I even refer back to it frequently! Her in depth information on dilution, safety warnings, photo sensitivity, blending, and application methods are essential for anyone interested in working with essential oils. Her large collection of graphics make it easy to identify and memorize the key points too!
