***Stillpoint Aromatics originally created these aromatherapy patches for use at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Ohio. The blends for each of these patches are made at Stillpoint Aromatics and the patches themselves are manufactured by Bioesse Technologies. It is to the best of my knowledge that Bioesse Technologies is the only manufacturer of aromatherapy inhalation patches and have patented their product. You can purchase pre-blended or blank patches from them directly as well.
What is an aromatherapy patch?
I can personally attest that the adhesive is comfortable to wear and comes off clean and easily when the patch is removed. Each time I tried the patches I have worn them for at least 6 hours and could still smell the essential oils well. In fact, one I had thrown in the trash can after removing in the evening and could still smell it when sitting at my desk the next morning!
How do I use my aromatherapy patches?
What are my thoughts on aromatherapy patches?
As I stated earlier, for certain situations the patch may be a more doable and effective option. For example, it is not always feasible to wear diffuser jewelry while working (I work in a restaurant) or may not be appropriate to wear at all times in a professional setting. In comparison to utilizing personal inhalers, the patch would provide convenience with continual and passive inhalation of the blend without having to stop and utilize the inhaler frequently.
For me personally I can see myself gravitating towards inhalation patches for anxiety/stress, especially that which is triggered by an event or public engagement, headaches/migraines, seasonal allergies, and when traveling for motion sickness with myself and my son. I look forward to more options available in the future and experimenting with my own personal blends and blank patches.
