Rest assured, I did received my certification (and not long at all after my last post). I am happy to say I received glowing feedback on my case studies, earning a 100% grade on them!
I did take a few weeks off before beginning the Aromatic Scholars program as I earlier indicated. While, I did start the studies in the fall it has been at a much slower pace than the first course. I do not see this as a bad thing however…I am in no hurry and just want to wait until I am more mentally prepared and can devote enough time to them!
In other exciting news: Not long after completing my first course I was presented with an opportunity to become a student mentor for the school. The position entails checking in on the student forum periodically, lending a helping hand when necessary, and also assisting in the review of case studies submitted by students in the Foundations course. This latter part has become very rewarding for me! I enjoy the opportunity to put my experience and education to use and it is really interesting to see the many ways these aspiring aromatherapists practice!
Since I have talked to so many wonderful EO enthusiasts lately that are interested in beginning their own journey as an aromatherapy student through the New York Institute of Aromatic Studies (formerly the School of Aromatic Studies) I plan to post a little Q & A in the near future!
