As soon as I enrolled I was able to immediately dive into my studies, which of course you know I did! I opted out of purchasing the suggested supplies kit since I had about 50% of the essential oils on the list already and was able to save quite a bit of money by purchasing the remaining items myself through Plant Therapy and Edens Garden (whom I both adore). A few days later I had everything I needed to succeed!
In the past few weeks I have made it through modules 1 and 2, about 15% of the way through the Foundations of Aromatherapy program. So far I have studied some background history of aromatherapy, a bit about plants and how they produce essential oils, how the essential oils are made themselves, and most recently the basics and safety of using essential oils. These last two lessons have been exciting for me cause it in a way helped validate that I have been doing well in my own research and usage over the past few years.
Probably the most exciting activity I have done so far is a little experiment discovering the different essential oil storage structures in a variety of items (as shown below). I shared a video on social media the other day of me squeezing an orange peel and the essential oil bursting out of its secretory cells...it was so cool to see!
Below is a slideshow of what I have been up to so far!
